Chelsea are set to significantly shuffle their deck this summer after a disappointing campaign saw the Blues miss out on Champions League football for next season.
Major departures are likely to occur at Stamford Bridge, with Antonio Conte looking set to be one of the first out the door, and it’s widely reported that club-record signing Alvaro Morata could follow after a difficult debut campaign in the Premier League.
Morata, signed for a reported £65m last summer, struggled for consistency in the second-half of the season and it’s understood that Chelsea are willing to offload the Spain ace, who missed out on a World Cup spot, on a permanent basis.
Juventus and AC Milan have both been attributed with an interest in the 25-year-old, who excelled during a previous stint in Turin, and Goal now names Inter Milan as the third Serie A giant keen on a move.
It’s stated Morata has already met with representatives of all three Italian clubs, though Chelsea will not rush to a final decision and a new manager could have the deciding say on the outcome of Morata’s future.
