Thomas Tuchel has made Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante a priority summer signing once he takes over as Paris Saint-Germain manager, according to Sportbuzzer.de.
The German website reports that the French club will need a replacement for Thiago Motta who is leaving at the end of the season. They could make moves for Monaco’s Fabinho, Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Weigl or Juve’s Sami Khedira, but the Blues star is the number one target.
Chelsea will likely resist any bids for Kante, but Sportbuzzer believe the Ligue One table toppers could make an offer of €80million (£69m) to tempt the London club into selling.
The French international has been an integral part of Antonio Conte’s side since he joined from Leicester City two years ago, but with the Italian likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, there will be uncertainty over the futures of some of the club’s stars.
Kante remains one of the teams’s top performers, and it is unlikely that Chelsea’s board would sanction any sale, regardless of who is in charge next season.
