Chelsea will not sell Michy Batshuayi for less than £50m, according to Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnson.

The Belgian striker has likely played his last game for Borussia Dortmund after suffering ankle ligament damage against Schalke on Sunday.

Batshuayi joined the Bundesliga club on loan in January but the Blues rejected the German side’s request for an option to buy the forward at the end of the season.

The 24 year old’s stock has risen since he moved to Germany after scoring nine goals in 14 appearances, and Dortmund have indicated they would try to sign the player permanently in the summer.

However, Chelsea won’t be selling the striker on the cheap, and his value could rise further still if he makes a good impression at the World Cup.

His ankle problem may keep him out for the remainder of the club season, but he could be back to full fitness in June when Belgium travel to Russia.
