Chelsea Under 18s striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale is giving “serious consideration” to leaving the club for first team football, according to the Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel.

The 18 year old has a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, and has attracted interest from Charlton Athletic, Fleetwood Town and a number of other EFL clubs.

Academy coaches believe he has the ability to make an impact in the Premier League, but with first team opportunities likely to be limited, the forward is said to be considering his options.

Taylor-Crossdale has impressed both in the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League this season, and has racked up 20 goals in all competitions, both for the Under 18s and Under 23s.

Despite his impressive numbers, he didn’t feature prominently for the Blues in their impressive run to the EFL Trophy semi-finals, but he has scored five goals in seven Premier League 2 fixtures at Under 23 level this campaign.
