Paris Saint-Germain have made Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante their number one transfer target for the summer, according to Le10 Sport.

The French publication reports that PSG sporting director Antero Henrique is seeking a world class replacement for the ageing Thiago Motta, and he has set his sights on the Blues star.

The Ligue One leaders are aware that it will be a tough challenge to land Kante due to his contract situation, and because he is an integral member of the Chelsea first team.

Le10 Sport report PSG are also mindful of Financial Fair Play restrictions which could curtail their pursuit of the 26 year old.

They had been seeking a cheaper alternative in the January transfer window, but it is believed that due to Motta’s importance to the team, they need a player who can fully undertake his responsibilities.

Whether Kante would be interested in joining PSG, it is debatable. In October, the France international revealed to Le Parisien that he actually rejected the French side to join Chelsea in 2016.
