Chelsea are one of four clubs keeping an eye on Roma utility player Alessandro Florenzi’s contract situation, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via Fussball.com).

The Italian has been on the London club’s radar over the past few years, but it seems Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also keen on the 26 year old.

One of the major attributes that Florenzi possesses is his adaptability. He is able to play in a number of positions, including central midfield, right wing and right back.

This season, the Italian international has played mostly as a full back under manager Eusebio Di Francesco, and the Giallorossi are keen for the player to sign a new contract, with his current deal expiring in 2019.

The Corriere Dello Sport reports that an offer €3million a season has been put on the table for Florenzi, however it seems there is some doubt over his long term future at the club.

Even though Roma would like to keep the player, the Serie A side are struggling to keep within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules, and they may have to sell the full back if they’re left with few other options in the summer.
