Bayern Munich are weighing up whether to sell either Arturo Vidal or Thiago Alcantara in the summer, according to Kicker (via the Sun).

The German publication believes the imminent arrival of Leon Goretzka from Schalke will mean one of the two current Bayern stars will be moved on at the end of the campaign.

Vidal has been consistently linked with Chelsea over the past year, with manager Antonio Conte having praised the Chilean international’s talents earlier this season.

A report in a Chilean newspaper La Cuarta back in December suggested that the Blues had even offered a contract to the 31 year old, but the player later denied any such contact.

Tellingly though, Vidal has stated he is not focused on his future beyond the end of the season, and has failed to rule out a move away from the Allianz Arena.

However, Chelsea’s interest is likely predicated on Conte staying as Blues boss, and with rumours linking the club with former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, the odds of the Italian surviving beyond the summer are not high.
