Fenerbahce have joined Sevilla in the race to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on loan, according to Bursadabugun.com.
The Turkish news outlet says that the Super Lig club are keen to recruit the Belgian international until the end of the season. They reportedly tried to sign the 24 year old in the summer but the Blues turned down their offer.
At the time, Chelsea were trying to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea City, but when the Spaniard signed for Tottenham instead, Batshuayi had to remain at Stamford Bridge as cover for Alvaro Morata.
The Blues are once again seeking another striker during the January transfer window, with both West Han’s Andy Carroll and Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke being tipped as potential transfer targets.
Batshuayi could be allowed to depart if Chelsea manager Antonio Conte does manage to recruit a new forward, but it remains to be seen whether there will be a new signing before the end of the transfer window.
