Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco has confirmed that midfielder Radja Nainggolan will be staying at the club until at least the end of the season.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported last week that the Belgian international was subject to a £44m offer from Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has previously revealed that the 29 year old was a target for the Blues, but talking to Premium Sport, Di Francesco dismissed reports that the midfielder would be leaving the Giallorossi:

“Nainggolan and China? No, that possibility just does not exist. Radja certainly stays with us. I am also happy about how he has been playing for us lately.”

The Belgian’s future looked to be in serious doubt following his omission from the squad for the 2-1 defeat to Atalanta in the club’s last home game. Nainggolan had been disciplined for filming himself drinking and smoking during New Year’s celebrations earlier this month.

However, the midfield enforcer returned to the starting line up for the 1-1 draw against Inter Milan yesterday evening, playing in an unfamiliar wide left role.
