Leganes have offered to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda on loan for the rest of the season, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

The Belgian newspaper reports that the La Liga side are not prepared to pay a loan fee for the 21 year old, but they are “willing” to pay the player’s wages in full.

Musonda signed a new four and a half year contract back in December, and he is reportedly earning £40,000 a week despite only having played seven games for the Blues’ first team.

Chelsea are said to be reluctant to send the player abroad, and would much prefer to loan out the Belgian to another English club so he can gain more experience of playing football in this country.

The midfielder is however keener on a move back to Spain. Musonda spent a year on loan at Real Betis between January 2016 and 2017, and it seems Leganes would like to take him back to La Liga.
