Sevilla have agreed a loan fee with Chelsea for striker Michy Batshuayi, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Seville based newspaper reports that the La Liga club have an “agreement” to pay €1.5m (£1.3m) to loan the Belgian international for the rest of the season, but the switch will only be finalised once the Blues have signed a replacement.

Batshuayi could yet stay at Chelsea if that doesn’t happen, and therefore Sevilla have already begun lining up a Plan B in case the move for the 24 year old falls through.

The Blues are actively pursuing the forward’s replacement with Sky Sports News reporting that the London club have contacted West Ham about signing Andy Carroll.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be keen to sign a target man to lend support to first choice striker Alvaro Morata, and it seems the Italian has targeted the former Newcastle and Liverpool forward for the role.

The Guardian reported yesterday that the Blues wanted the 29 year old on a six month loan deal, but Sky say the enquiry was for a permanent transfer.
