ADO Den Haag defender Wilfried Kanon says he dreams of playing for Chelsea in the future if he gets the opportunity.
The Ivorian, who has 27 caps for his country, was being interviewed by Dutch magazine Voetbal international when he mentioned that a switch to the Blues was his main goal after learning English:
“Chelsea, that’s where I want to go to.”
Whether Kanon will ever have the chance to move to Stamford Bridge, it is probably unlikely at this stage. However, at 24, he is still young enough to develop his game to a higher level so there is always a possibility.
The centre back has made 81 appearances for Den Haag since moving on a free transfer to the Eredivisie side in 2013. He made his senior international debut against Nigeria in January 2015, and played every match as the Ivory Coast won the African Cup of Nations a month later.
Kanon generally plays as a left sided centre half, but has been employed as a left back at international level.
