Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, according to GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

The Frenchman is being pursued by Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, but the Spanish club are also said to be keeping an eye on the winger, in case they sell forward Antoine Griezmann in the summer.

The Evening Standard have reported that Lemar, along with Ross Barkley, were the club’s top transfer targets for the January transfer window.

Although the Blues have successfully captured Barkley’s signature from Everton, there has been very little news on an approach for Lemar.

Lemar’s club Monaco have suggested they would only consider selling the 22 year old in the summer, but comments from manager Leonardo Jardim in recent weeks have seemingly shown a softening of their stance.

Still, the France international’s price tag is likely a stumbling block for any club. The Times report that Monaco would not accept anything less than £90m for the attacking midfielder.
