Chelsea are one of five Premier League clubs tracking FC Porto striker Moussa Marega, according to Footmercato.net.
The French website reports that the Blues, Manchester United and Tottenham have all enquired about the 26 year old, with Brighton and Leicester City also having scouted the forward.
Marega has scored 12 goals in 15 league games for Portuguese table toppers Porto this season, and is likely one of the names that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering as a backup for Alvaro Morata.
The Malian international spent last season out on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes, and has always scored a decent amount of goals during his time in Portugal.
Whether he is capable of stepping up to play in the Premier League, it remains to be seen. Marega has a €40m release clause in his contract, but it isn’t likely that any team will look to match the amount if they do enter bids for the player this month.
