Chelsea and Tottenham could make bids for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa this month, according to Tuttosport (via TMW).
The Italian publication believes the English clubs are interested in the 20 year old and have the finances to complete a deal in the January transfer window.
Napoli are also monitoring the Italian Under 21 international but are unable to match Fiorentina’s €40m (£35.6m) asking price for Chiesa unless the transfer can happen at the end of the season.
It means that the Blues will only have Spurs to contend with if they are considering prising the midfielder away from the Viola.
The Serie A side have become a selling club in recent years, with the likes of Federico Bernardeschi (€40m) and Nikola Kalinic (€20m) having been sold to Juventus and AC Milan respectively over the past six months.
Chiesa is being tipped as the next star to leave Florence after an excellent start to the 2017/18 season. The Italian has scored four goals and provided four assists in 18 league games so far this campaign.
