Chelsea have completed the signing of Viktoria Koln striker Thierno Ballo, according to Austrian website 12termann.at.

The 16 year old has previously been on trial with the Blues, having played in a number of friendlies for the youth team. He has been plying his trade in Germany, having been at Bayer Leverkusen’s youth academy before moving to Viktoria Koln in 2016.

Ballo turned 16 yesterday meaning he is able to sign a scholarship contract with Chelsea. Transfermarkt.com already have the forward labelled as a player in Chelsea’s Under 18’s side, with his contract extending for four and a half years until June 2022.

The Austrian Under 17 international was actually born in Guinea, but he is also eligible to play for the Ivory Coast and Austria. He can play on the right wing, as well as playing in the number nine or number ten positions.

Although it seems like Ballo has joined Chelsea, it is important to note that there has been no official announcement from the club as of yet.
