Bayern Munich are open to selling midfielder Arturo Vidal after signing Schalke ‘s Leon Goretzka on a pre-contract agreement, according to Bild.
The German tabloid says the Chilean international will be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena in the summer following Goretzka’s arrival on a free transfer, and Chelsea are very interested in making a deal.
Chilean newspaper La Cuarta reported earlier this month that Blues boss Antonio Conte had contacted Vidal about joining the London club, and that Chelsea were willing to offer him $18m (£12.93m) a year.
For his part, Vidal has told reporters in recent weeks he is focused on playing for Bayern, and wants to win the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Champions League this season.
The midfield battler is a favourite of Conte’s after the Italian signed the Chilean for Juventus back in 2011. They spent two years working together at the Bianconeri and won two Serie A titles.
