Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has confirmed he will be remaining at the Bundesliga club this month.

At the end of December, Chilean newspaper La Cuarta suggested that Chelsea had offered the 30 year old $18million a year to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, but the midfield enforcer has distanced himself from transfer talk. He is quoted by Goal.com Chile as saying:

“I stay at Bayern, I have three very strong goals in mind. My dream is to win the Champions League and this year, with a little bit of luck, we can lift the three titles.”

Blues boss Antonio Conte recently stoked the flames with his comments about Vidal, stating he would “go to war” with the midfielder. The Italian managed the midfielder for three years at Juventus before he took over as Italy head coach in 2014.

The Chilean international has been in pretty good form for Bayern this term. In 21 appearances in all competitions, he has scored five goals and provided two assists.

Vidal is not known for his goalscoring but he scored in four consecutive Bundesliga matches earlier this season, scoring in the victories against Augsburg, Hannover and Frankfurt and the defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach.
