Chelsea are considering a move for Paris Saint Germain left back Layvin Kurzawa as a possible alternative to Roma’s Emerson Palmieri, according to Sky Sport Italia (via Forzaroma.info).

The Blues have been expected to seal the double transfer of both Emerson and his team mate Edin Dzeko, but it seems negotiations have come to a stand still.

Kurzawa could actually be an upgrade on Emerson if the London club do pursue the French international. Unlike the Roma full back, who has spent a number of months out with a knee injury, the Frenchman has played quite regularly for PSG.

Last season, the 25 year old made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing seven assists, showing he would be well suited to a wing back role.

This campaign, Kurzawa has been in impressive form, having scored a hat trick in the 5-0 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League back in October. He has had to share the left back position with Yuri Berchiche this year but he has still played 18 games.
