Sevilla and Betis will battle Inter Milan to sign Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda on loan in the January transfer window, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.
The Belgian news outlet reports that Chelsea are keen for the player to get more game time, and are willing to let the 21 year old leave next month if he can get minutes on the pitch elsewhere.
Musonda has previously spent a year on loan at Betis between January 2016 and January 2017, but struggled for form and fitness during his time in Spain. He played 24 times, scoring one goal and providing three assists. A knee injury however meant he did not end his time in La Liga on a high note.
Betis’s local rivals Sevilla are also said to be interested this time around, while Inter have been mentioned as a possible destination in the last few days.
Chelsea face Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night and Musonda will no doubt be given another chance to shine in the competition, after impressing in the previous two rounds. It could be his last appearance in a Chelsea shirt for a while though if a loan move is agreed earlier on during the transfer window.
