Napoli have joined a host of European clubs pursuing Chelsea left back Baba Rahman, according to reports in Italy.

The Daily Mail reported yesterday that Schalke would face competition from Fenerbahce, Everton, Monaco and Fiorentina in their attempts to sign the player on loan in the January transfer window, but Calciomercato.it journalist Davide Russo De Cerame has suggested that the Ghanaian has also been offered to Napoli.

Rahman is close to a return to first team action after being out for close to a year with a serious knee injury he sustained playing for Ghana in the African Cup of Nations back in January.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is believed to be willing to allow the full back to leave on a temporary basis next month, with the Blues reportedly targeting either Juventus’s Alex Sandro or Porto’s Alex Telles to provide competition for Marcos Alonso in the left wing back position.
