Fiorentina will look to sign Chelsea full back Baba Rahman on loan after deciding to sell one of their summer signings, according to La Nazione (via Calciomercato.com).
The Italian newspaper reports that the Viola are looking to offload Maximiliano Olivera just six months after signing the left back from Uruguayan side Penarol. The Serie A side see the Ghanaian as a perfect replacement, but they may have issues with how Chelsea would want the loan structured.
Rahman is reportedly closing in on full fitness after almost a year out with a serious knee injury. The 23 year old was on international duty at the African Cup of Nations last January when he was injured in the group match against Uganda.
At the time, the Ghanaian international was on loan at Schalke, and the German club are said to be keen to loan the defender for a second season in a row. The Daily Mail report however that he will weigh up his options next month with Everton and Monaco also considering a move for the player.
