Inter Milan have targeted Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda as a potential recruit in the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com).

The Belgian Under 21 international only signed a new five year deal ten days ago, but the Serie A side want to sign the 21 year old on loan for the rest of the season.

Musonda has been used sparingly by Blues boss Antonio Conte in the Premier League this season, and has only made the match day squad once in the last nine league games.

The forward has been used in cup competitions, impressing in both rounds of the Carabao Cup so far, in the wins against Nottingham Forest and Everton. It is likely the Belgian will feature against Bournemouth in the quarter final of the same competition on Wednesday night.

His future beyond that game though is less clear. A move on loan could benefit Musonda in order for the midfielder to acquire more first team experience at the top level.
