Manchester United have a “massive advantage” in their battle with Chelsea to sign Juventus full back Alex Sandro, reports the Sun journalist Alvise Cagnazzo.

The Red Devils’ have a number of players that Juve are interested in signing and this could play in to the hands of Jose Mourinho’s side who could offer them in exchange for the Brazilian.

Attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and left back Daley Blind are two such players who could be offered to Juve in a bid to land Sandro. Bianconeri boss Max Allegri is reportedly a fan of the United pair.

In some better news for Chelsea however, the Brazilian international has been dropped from Juventus’s first team for some recent games, indicating that the Italian club may consider selling the defender in the January transfer window.

The Serie A champions were reportedly unwilling to sell the 26 year old to the Blues in the summer as he was indispensable to the club, but it seems that is no longer the case. The Sun report that Sandro could be made available for as low as £50m; £10m less than Chelsea were willing to pay before the start the season.
