The agent of AC Milan centre back Leonardo Bonucci has denied the Italian international will look to leave the Serie A club in the January transfer window.

The 30 year old only signed for the Rossoneri from Juventus for €42m in July, but he has found life in Milan difficult with the club currently sitting eleventh in the league table. Goal.com reported earlier this month that Chelsea and Manchester City had revived their interest in the defender, while the Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed that that the player was having doubts about his decision to join Milan.

When asked by Sky Sport Italia about the speculation surrounding Bonucci’s future, Alessandro Lucci was quick to say that the centre half remains firmly committed to the Rossoneri:

“Leonardo is a Milan player, and he chose to play for Milan and will continue to pursue his objectives there. He’s a great professional, a leader, and he wants to get out of this situation and help the club reach the objectives they deserve.”

Signed as the club’s captain, the Italian was supposed to strengthen the team’s back line but Milan have already conceded 26 goals and kept just five clean sheets this season, with Bonucci having started 16 of the club’s 18 league games.
