Chelsea have joined Arsenal and AC Milan in pursuing a deal for Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The Gunners have been watching the Czech Republic international for well over a year, while the Rossoneri were looking at a deal for the player in the summer as a replacement for Juraj Kucka.

Jankto was asked about rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League after his side won 3-0 against Crotone on Monday night. The 21 year old did little to dampen speculation that he could make a switch the England in the not too distant future:

“I have to stay focused only on Udinese, we are only in December. My future in the Premier? I’ve always said that I do not want to stay in Italy all my career.”

The Czech star scored twice in the comfortable league win versus Crotone, but the Corriere Dello Sport report that despite his performances for Udinese, the club’s fans would not be too upset to see the midfielder leave. Jankto is said to have upset the team’s supporters after an incident in the 8-3 Coppa Italia win over Perugia last week.
