West Bromwich Albion have joined Chelsea, Everton and Rennes in scouting Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye, reports the Daily Mail.

Earlier this season Blues boss Antonio Conte reportedly asked his scouting department to watch the Ghanaian international as he looks to provide support for main striker Alvaro Morata.

Boakye was signed by Conte when the Italian was manager at Juventus in 2012, and the 24 year old has recently stated in an interview that he would like to work under the Chelsea head coach once again.

West Brom however are said to have sent scouts to watch him in Red Star’s 1-0 win over FC Cologne last week, with new Baggies boss Alan Pardew seeking to strengthen his striking options in the January transfer window.

Boakye has been in excellent form this campaign with 22 goals in 27 games, although he only scored one goal in six Europa League group games, despite excelling in the qualification rounds.
