Chelsea midfielder Kyle Scott is stalling on a new contract as he weighs up leaving Stamford Bridge in search of first team football, according to the Sun.

The news has apparently sparked the interest of Leicester City and Huddersfield Town who sent scouts to watch the the 20 year old against the MK Dons, in Chelsea Academy’s impressive 4-0 win over MK Dons earlier this month.

Scott has 18 months left on his current deal at the club, and the Blues are keen to tie down the former England Under 16 international to a longer term contract.

It is believed that the midfielder has been offered good financial terms, but the player feels he needs first team football to continue his football development, along the lines of Nathaniel Chalobah at Watford.

He is no longer a teenager, but looks unlikely to break into Chelsea’s first team any time soon. Blues boss Antonio Conte has named him on the bench on a few occasions this season, but he has yet to make his debut for the club’s first team.
