Chelsea left back Baba Rahman will have five potential suitors in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
While Schalke and Fenerbahce’s interest in the Ghanaian has been known for a while, it has also been revealed that Everton, Monaco and Fiorentina will also be battling to sign the defender on loan.
Rahman is now training with Chelsea’s first team after having fully recovered from a serious knee injury he sustained at the African Cup of Nations last January. Blues manager Antonio Conte is likely to allow the full back to leave on a temporary basis until the end of the season, in order for the player to regain his fitness and form.
The Ghanaian’s likeliest destination is Schalke after he spent the first half of last season at the Bundesliga club. The club’s sporting director Christian Heidel has spoken on a number of occasions that the left back is a target, while Revier Sport mentioned last week that the player still has an apartment in Gelsenkirchen which could suggest the player is intent on making a return.
