Chelsea look set to miss out on Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura after the Brazilian agreed a deal in principle with Chinese club Beijing Guoan, according to Goal.com France.
The Chinese Super League outfit reportedly opened talks with Lucas about the switch, and they are said to be confident that the move could take place in the January transfer window.
Moura apparently needed some convincing that a move to the Far East was the right move for him at the age of 25. He spoke to fellow Brazilian Renato Augusto, who currently plays for Beijing, as well as former PSG team mate Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is currently plying his trade with Hebei China Fortune.
After receiving positive feedback from both players, it seems that Lucas is now set to be the latest player to make the switch to China. Reports in France have suggested that Chelsea were lining up a bid for the winger next month, but it seems they will now not be signing the Brazilian international.
