Paris Saint-Germain right back Thomas Meunier could be subject to a bid from Napoli in the January transfer window, according to Rai Sport (via Calciomercato.com).

The Belgian international revealed earlier this month that Chelsea tried to sign him back in the summer, but PSG turned down the offer from the Blues. Antonio Conte’s side subsequently signed Davide Zappacosta instead from Torino to provide competition for Victor Moses in the right wing back position.

Meunier has since been in and out of the PSG first team this season with Dani Alves being favoured in the Champions League and some league games. With the 26 year old having started just seven of a possible 18 matches so far this campaign, a January exit cannot be ruled out.

Rai Sport report that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has contacted PSG regarding the defender, and could make a January offer for the player. As Chelsea now have both Moses, Zappacosta and even Cesar Azpilicueta to fill the right wing back role, it is unlikely the Blues will re-enter the race for Meunier, although injuries could still change their plans.
