Manchester United may look to sign Chelsea defender David Luiz in the January transfer window, reports the Daily Star‘s chief football writer David Woods.
The Brazilian international’s relationship with current Blues boss Antonio Conte is reportedly strained, and the centre back could depart Stamford Bridge for a second time due to the conflict between the two men.
The Evening Standard is reporting that Luiz may return to the starting line up for the trip to West Bromwich Albion this weekend, after Conte revealed he would be returning to the match day squad. It is believed the Brazilian has a less fraught working relationship than Diego Costa had with Conte, but there is reportedly still tension between the 30 year old and the Chelsea manager.
Whether that will lead to a January exit, it is not known. The Daily Star report that a switch to Old Trafford could happen if the Red Devils match the £34m that Chelsea paid Paris Saint-Germain to re-resign the Brazilian just under 15 months ago.
