After reports in Mundo Deportivo yesterday that Sevilla were looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore on loan in January, it seems the La Liga club may in fact be in the market to buy the player.

Diario Sport (via Football-Espana.net) are reporting that Sevilla will look to bid €20m (£17.7m) and that they are confident of signing the Argentinian with the player interested in a move to Andalusia.

The news seems questionable considering the player himself has declared that a move to Italy would be his preferred destination if he does leave PSG in January.

Chelsea and Liverpool were linked with Pastore in an article in French publication L’Equipe last week, but Inter Milan remain the favourites to sign the 28 year old.

PSG are reportedly keen to offload the playmaker in order to stay within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. Another reported Chelsea target, Lucas Moura, could also be sold for the same reason in the January transfer window.
