Arturo Vidal’s agent has told Inter Milan that the Bayern Munich midfielder is interested in joining the Serie A club either in January or in the summer, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Chelsea may look to sign Vidal with manager Antonio Conte a keen admirer of the Chilean international after working with him at Juventus.

Inter’s interest in Vidal stems back to the summer when sporting director Piero Ausilio and director of football Walter Sabatini held talks with Bayern Munich about the 30 year old. The combative midfielder however decided to remain at the Bundesliga club, but La Gazzetta say he has communicated to his agent that he has the “maximum willingness” to play for Inter.

News that the midfielder is willing to leave Bayern may spark Chelsea into reviving a move for the player. Blues boss Conte may see Vidal as an ideal partner for N’Golo Kante in the heart of midfield in tough away games, and against top six teams. Whether they will make a move for the player, we will have to wait and see.
