The agent of Genoa striker Pietro Pellegri has been in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain in recent days, according to Secolo XIX (via Calciomercato.com).

The Italian publication reports that Beppe Riso has been in Paris to talk with PSG officials about the 16 year old, but it seems the French club’s valuation is well below that of Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.

Preziosi is reportedly holding out for €40million (£35.3m) despite Pellegri only having played eight senior games. The Serie A side are hoping for a bidding war, and Calciomercato report that PSG will have to battle Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus and Monaco if they want to sign the Italian under 19 international.

A January transfer is possible, but whether any club will be prepared to meet Genoa’s asking price, it remains doubtful. Pellegri has played just nine minutes of first team action over the past two months, and has made just three starts in total this season.
