Four Premier League teams, including Chelsea, are interested in signing Athletic Bilbao youngster Gorka Guruzeta, according to the Sun.
The Blues, Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle are all keen on the 21 year old and Chelsea are believed to be sending scouts tomorrow night when Bilbao’s under 23s face Manchester United.
Guruzeta signed a new one year deal with the Basque club last summer, and his contract expires in the summer, allowing any team to sign the forward for a minimal amount of compensation.
The Spaniard has been playing in the third tier of Spanish football with Bilbao’s B team, and he has generally been utilised on the left wing this campaign. In 14 Segunda B matches this season, the forward has scored six times.
No doubt, Chelsea and other teams will be keen to watch Guruzeta up close tomorrow night in order to see whether he has the potential to play at the highest level.
