Chelsea star Eden Hazard is stalling over a new deal as he is waiting to see whether Real Madrid make a firm offer to sign him, according to OK Diario.
The Belgian international’s current contract expires in 2020 but the Blues are reportedly trying to sign him up to a lucrative one year extension. The attacking midfielder is however reportedly hesitating on signing a new deal as he knows it could end his chances of ever moving to the Bernabeu.
Hazard has expressed on a number of occasions his admiration for Real boss Zinedine Zidane, and the Frenchman is believed to be an admirer of the Belgian’s talents as well.
The midfielder turns 27 in January, and OK Diario report that Hazard believes this could be his final chance of securing a move to Madrid. Chelsea will likely fight off any approach from the La Liga club, and will try to persuade the playmaker into staying at Stamford Bridge.
