Chelsea officials are reportedly split on how much to pay Juventus for left back Alex Sandro, according to Calciomercato.com.

Blues manager Antonio Conte and his coaching staff want the club to sign the player at all costs, the Italian website reports, but there are reservations among others at the club with some believing Chelsea should only pay a maximum of €65m (£58.5m) for the Brazilian international.

Sandro has been Conte’s number one transfer target since the start of last summer, but Juve have been stubborn in their refusal to sell the 26 year old. Reports over the last few months have suggested the Serie A club are trying to persuade the full back into signing a new contract, but so far no new deal has been announced.

With the defender’s future at the Italian side still in question, Chelsea are likely to make another bid for the player, Calciomercato reports, but Conte’s desire to land Sandro could be curtailed by the Blues hierarchy’s refusal to go above a certain figure to sign him.
