Chelsea reportedly had scouts in attendance for Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over Atalanta at the Giuseppe Meazza yesterday, according to FCInterNews.it.

The Italian website reports the Blues had representatives in the stands to watch both long term target Antonio Candreva and centre half Milan Skriniar in action.

The fact that Chelsea are keeping an eye on Candreva is no surprise considering Antonio Conte is a big fan of the 30 year old. The winger would have impressed the observing scouts with an assist from a free kick for Mauro Icardi’s opening goal six minutes into the second half.

The club’s interest in Skriniar is a new development though. The 22 year old only joined from Sampdoria for €23m in the summer but the Slovakian has already established a good partnership alongside Brazilian defender Joao Miranda at the heart of Inter’s defence.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have the second best defensive record in Serie A, conceding nine from 13 league games, with Skriniar having started every match and helping Inter to an unbeaten start to the season.
