Spanish publication El Gol are reporting that Chelsea have already tabled a €70m (£62.3m) bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Real Madrid are said to be interested in the Italian international as they seek to strengthen their front line in the January transfer window, but the Blues have reportedly made the first move for the 23 year old with an opening bid in view to a January transfer.

The Champions League winners will have to at least match this bid, according to El Gol, if they want to sign Belotti. Real may fight very hard to sign the Italian as he is eligible to play in Europe, unlike other top targets Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Robert Lewandowski.

The Torino’s forward’s form has taken a dip this season after excelling last campaign where he finished with 26 league goals. He has not scored since late September, but he has only returned for the last three league games after being sidelined with a knee injury.
