Manchester United and Chelsea have joined the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in scouting Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo, the Daily Mail reports.

Arthur made his professional debut back in 2015, but he had to wait until the last game of the 2016 season against Botofogo last December to make his first appearance in the league. He did however start the 2017 campaign as a first team regular and he has been ever present for Gremio as they made it to the Copa Libertadores final earlier this month.

After 33 games of the season, the Brazilian club also find themselves second in the league table, eight points behind leaders Cortinhians with five games to go. Arthur has played 25 league games this campaign, but he hasn’t contributed much in the way of an attacking threat with just one goal and no assists coming in those matches.

Playing in a holding midfield role however, the 21 year old is integral to how Gremio play, and he has certainly won many admirers for his displays this season.
