Barcelona are not looking to sign Leon Goretzka in the January transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The German international, who has been linked with Chelsea along with three other Premier League teams, was said to be favouring a move to Barca and a report in SportBild suggested the Catalan club may look to buy the player in the January transfer window.

Mundo Deportivo however report that although the La Liga side are very much interested in signing Goretzka, there is no chance of it happening in January.

The Catalan publication do say though that the German and his representative Jorg Neubauer did meet with Barcelona officials in the last international break.  The 22 year old did not play for Germany as he was out injured at the time, but he did still travel to watch the national side play against France in Cologne.

At the match, he talked with Barca representatives and told them that he was also considering proposals from Bayern Munich, Juventus and several Premier League teams.

With his contract expiring in the summer, Goretzka and his agent reportedly agreed to speak more about a move at the end of the season when he will leave his current club Schalke.
