Real Madrid will propose a loan offer, in view to a permanent transfer, for Chelsea centre back David Luiz, according to Le10 Sport.
RMC Sport in France were the first to report that contact had been made between the Brazilian and the La Liga club earlier this week, and now it seems another French news outlet has additional information about the story.
Luiz has dropped down the pecking order at Chelsea, with Andreas Christensen having replaced him at the heart of the Chelsea defence for recent league games.
Le10 Sport say an approach for the 30 year old is likely to be made in January. There are said to be doubts over Raphael Varane who has been Real boss Zinedine Zidane’s favoured centre back partner for Sergio Ramos in recent seasons.
Despite only signing a new deal relatively recently, the French international could be replaced in side by Luiz for the second half of the season. An assessment will then made to see whether the Brazilian international has done enough to warrant a permanent move.
