German magazine Kicker has suggested that Bayern Munich could offload Arturo Vidal for £50million next summer with the player entering the last year of his contract.
Former Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti had previously stated that there was no chance of the Chilean international leaving the Allianz Arena but with the Italian now having left, the future of some players at the club has been called into question.
Chelsea have previously been linked with Vidal as manager Antonio Conte is reportedly a huge admirer of the player after signing him for Juventus back in 2011. The pair won three consecutive league titles together at Juve.
For his part Vidal denied the rumours of a Chelsea move back in February saying he was happy in Munich. The story has resurfaced again however, and on Twitter Chelsea fans have been debating the value of the signing. Some say at 30, Vidal is past his prime while others think the midfield enforcer could still improve the Blues’ midfield:
jesus a Vidal – Kante – Bakayoko midfield would be some powerhouse @NiiNiiFC

Do Chelsea actually need Vidal? I’m not so sure, rather give the minutes to Ampadu. #cfc

It’s high time to buy him, he’s better than bakayoko. With vidal and kanté it will be fantastic for our lovely team.

Vidal/ Kante/ Bakayoko / Fabregas midfield. Would actually welcome this move. Not about the age. Vast experience / talented / workaholic. #CFC
