Chelsea winger Willian has confirmed he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge, ending speculation that he could make a move away from the club.

The Brazilian has been criticised for his performances on occasion this season, and the fact that he has previously revealed contacts with Manchester United, has added to rumours that he could leave the Blues sooner rather than later.

Speaking to FourFourTwo magazine this week, the 29 year old was keen to emphasise he is happy remaining at the club:

“I’m very happy at Chelsea. I just try to improve year on year. And it’s been happening.”

Willian has featured in all but one of Chelsea’s matches this season. Manager Antonio Conte has started him on seven occasions but he is yet to score so far this campaign, with two assists to his name; the first coming in the opening day 3-2 defeat against Burnley, and the last coming in the 6-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League.

The Brazilian international’s contract was extended in July 2016 with his current deal expiring in 2020.
