Former Chelsea target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has seemingly ruled out a potential future switch to the Premier League.

The 28 year old was heavily linked with the Blues prior to the club’s signing of Alvaro Morata in July, and speaking to French TV station Telefoot (translated by the Sun), the Gabonese international explained that he isn’t interested in playing in England:

“I was never tempted by the Premier League. It’s simply a personal opinion.”

The forward has once again started the season for Dortmund in excellent form with 13 goals in his first ten matches. The Bundesliga side are top of the table on 19 points from seven points so far, five points ahead of managerless Bayern Munich.

Aubameyang expressed on more than one occasion over the summer his desire to leave the German team but Sporting Director Michael Zorc closed the door on the striker’s sale mid way through July after initially stating the club were open for talks with potential buyers.

In addition to Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian were all reportedly interested in the forward.
