Manchester United may make an attempt in the January transfer window to sign Chelsea target Danny Rose, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Tottenham defender has been sidelined with a knee injury since the start of February and has not played a single minute of first team action for Spurs this season.
Rose spoke out publicly before the start of the campaign about his unhappiness with his salary, and hinted that he could leave his current club in pursuit of a more lucrative deal. The 27 year old later apologised to his manager Mauricio Pochettino for his comments, but speculation has continued about the England international’s future at the club.
Chelsea were suggested as a possible destination for Rose with the Blues seeking an alternative to Juventus full back Alex Sandro at the time, but the Tottenham left back’s continued injury absence meant any summer switch was unlikely.
It seems now that Manchester United will look to test the waters with a January offer, but whether Chelsea will follow suit, we will have to wait and see.
