Tuttosport are reporting that Juventus may step out of the race for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can due to the fierce competition they are facing from Chelsea and Manchester United for the 23 year old’s signature.
The Serie A champions have been pursuing Can for a number of months, and with the German international yet to sign a new contract at Anfield, it was anticipated that the midfielder would make a free transfer switch to Italy in the summer.
Juve are however also pursuing Can’s international team mate Leon Goretzka, who is also out of contract at the end of the season. The Italian club believed that they will only have the finances to sign one of them, and with Chelsea and United competing for Can, they feel they have a better chance of landing Goretzka.
The Schalke midfielder is however also reportedly being chased by Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, while Chelsea have also been mentioned as a possible destination in recent weeks.
