Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar has said that the Blues have left the door open for him to return to the club one day.

The Brazilian international was talking in an interview with Premier League Brasil when he said he would be prepared to take up the invitation to return to England some time in the future:

“Yes, I would go back! I’m still young, I’m 26 years old. Who knows in two, three years to return to the Premier League …. I will be very happy. And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me to return.”

The midfielder started off last season as first choice under Antonio Conte but the switch to a back three meant he did not feature in the team beyond cup appearances and as a substitute in the league.

Oscar made the transfer to Shanghai SIPG for £54m in January, but he revealed he could have made the switch to La Liga side Atletico Madrid instead rather than making the move to the Far East.

During his time five year spell at Stamford Bridge, the Brazilian made 202 appearances for the club, scoring 38 goals and providing 37 assists.
