Chelsea are considering loaning out forward Charly Musonda in the January transfer window, according to the Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnson.

The paper reports that the Blues actually wanted to loan the player out in the summer but the Belgian under 21 international wanted to stay and fight for a first team place.

With just one start to his name in the Carabao Cup, the 20 year old expressed his frustration on Instagram, leading to the winger being reportedly reprimanded by the club.

Musonda certainly impressed on his full senior debut back in September, with manager Antonio Conte complimenting him for his performance after scoring in the 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

The fact that he has made the bench just once since that display has apparently frustrated the Belgian, with the club’s next League Cup game against Everton likely to be his next chance to impress.

Once the January transfer window arrives, Chelsea will likely send Musonda on a lengthy loan spell with Andreas Christensen’s two year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach being used as the template.
